74 year old man w/ pmh of obesity, HLD and narcissistic personality disorder presents with one day of cough.

Patient is requesting 90-day supply of hydroxychloroquine, “my neuroradiologist said it’s the only thing that works.”

Assessment & Plan: no testing necessary, only leads to diagnosis. Patient prefers treatment course combination of denial of illness, magical thinking, and chlorox injections to standard care. Advised patient of typical course of illness and reviewed symptoms which should trigger emergency care. Recommended psychiatric follow up once illness subsides.
