On the easel yesterday...

This palette is the cleanest thing in my studio right now. In here finishing up a round of commissions before Baby Johnny heads his way! I am thankful I feel good enough to paint. The studio has seen better days though. It's basically a storage unit in here! Maybe I'll have the energy to organize it in a couple of months? A year? #messystudio #palette #babybump

Saturday was so beautiful! I had such a wonderful time celebrating Johnny's upcoming arrival with loving friends and family. My sweet hostesses outdid themselves! This is the invitation based off my floral alphabet painting, see a few posts back, that @lianakangas designed! (Sure am missing my studio assistant and graphic design queen!)

This weekend was filled with so much love!!! My mom and sister got to come in town for my baby shower, hosted by the sweetest friends. Everyone who came spoiled baby Johnny and I with so many blessings. We are very lucky! The weekend was full of other showers and a christening for Johnny's future playmates and a relaxing dinner with family full of laughter. It all went by too fast but it was so much fun!

I can't believe it has taken me this long to hang up the floral alphabet I painted for Johnny's nursery! (Well I can...pregnancy has me pretty sluggish!) My sweet friends who are hosting my baby shower let me design my own invitation after I obnoxiously begged and I used parts of this painting to make the invite. I think I'm my hardest and most critical client! Prints of this will be available in my Dorothy Art shop soon.
