I never understand why people act like they are ok with discussing something when they clearly don’t want to. Idk if it’s to be polite or something but I can ALWAYS tell when someone doesn’t want to talk about the current thing I want to discus. I don’t want to talk to them anymore because they seem so annoyed by what I have to say and I feel bad for inconveniencing them. I always ask if they are up to talking about it, and for some reason they say yes, but their faces and bodies say no. Omg people if you don’t want to talk about something JUST SAY IT. I promise it will save us both the time and the energy wasted on the weird social norms.

I’m listening to a song I used to listen during the summer after Freshmen year and that was also the same time when I finally got into TMNT, specifically 2012 and wow the nostalgia is flooding back. What would I give to watch it for the first time again.

Do you ever make a minor mistake or there was a misunderstanding but it got quickly resolved and everything is fine but you still feel like you just kicked a puppy and now you’re sobbing over it? Just me?
I’m really scared to mischaracterize characters when I share my thoughts on them. I take a lot of time to think about my personal opinion on something and think back to how they are portrayed in their original media. I don’t want to interpret them in the wrong way, especially if it’s my favorite character. Thats why I don’t really share my personal character analyses unless I’m 100% sure I’m not misinterpreting anything.
I have a lot of things to say about Caine and how people write him in AUs that take place after episode 8, but again, I’m scared that I’m wrong about him.
Dude i swear some people LOVE pulling out the misogyny card when it comes to criticizing female characters.
Yes, misogyny is absolutely a problem in the fandom space, and yes some people over hate on girl characters for no reason and it's good to correct that behavior when it comes up.
BUT ✋️ i do not like being called a misogynist whenever i am critical or negative about a girl character. I LOVE dissecting the way blorbos think and so if i don't like a character it's not gonna be for a shallow reason. And just because i don't like a girl character doesn't mean i am condemning all her fans or saying there's nothing to like about her. I have simply decided her flaws outweigh her strengths for me personally.
Its possible to like a character someone else dislikes and thats okay. They're not real anyways so who even cares as long as we're all being nice. Discussion is cool, listen to other's opinions. Peace and love on planet earth
This is so true. If I don’t like a character or think they are not well written it’s not because of their gender, I just think their writing is dumb. 2012 April could be a guy for all I care and I would still think her writing is dumb. Now if you really like her, that’s fine. But don’t think someone dislikes a character just for their gender.
Heck I could go on all day about 2012 Leo’s poor decisions on Karai and his hero complex, and how Donnie falling for April at first sight makes no sense. Not to mention his creepy habits.
The point is gender shouldn’t be the center of criticism. And try to be understanding of other people’s opinions. You don’t have to agree with them, just don’t assume they are discriminating on gender.
I like to head canon that in tmnt 2012, Usagi tucking his arms in his outer coat was something Stan Sakai put in there. It’s such an Usagi thing to do and since Stan wrote the first episode in the arc, he would probably drop a few things Usagi does that he didn’t put in the comics. Maybe he didn’t, but it’s a nice touch to his personality. Plus it’s really cute.
I don't mean to "um, actually" anybody, but I just finished reading all of Usagi Yojimbo and while it doesn't happen often, Usagi has tucked his arms in the comics a few times. It was a detail I appreciated a lot in the episodes, though
