How to you manage using multiple brushes in one illustration? Deciding what to use where, and such. I'm so used to just using my one brush for everything, from sketching to rendering. I've been trying to study artists I admire (hey, one of them's you!) who use a broader toolkit in their work, but I'm still struggling to wrap my head around it. I'd love to hear a bit of your thought process <3
Sorry for the late answer!
Ultimately it comes down to constant experimentation, literally just picking a random brush in a pack and seeing what it does then storing it in my brain for later usage.
Sometimes I have a general idea of what kind of effect I would like and go on a brush hunt for something that fits. Here is a quick breakdown of a recent study I did to sort of show how I often go about it.
