I actually hesitated cuz it was kinda complicated at first so i dropped it but after months i came across your fanfic again and i decided to give it another shot.

Lemme tell you I WISH I DID IT SOONERRR!!

I love it. I keep checking #everstrange everyday in AO3 and im really excited for another episode if you're writing another.

Also i really like the interaction between Everett and Stephen. Its going like slow burn which is my favorite. I'm looking forward for a SMUT episode in future 😝

Ahhhh! I'm so sorry that it's taken me so long to reply to this! THANK YOU!! I am really enjoying writing this fic even though it's taken me over two years to write it. I wanted to get it right and that desire plus life has made the writing process slow, but I AM still working on it.

With the GO finale, my mind has needed the salve of fan fic-based Aziracrow, but Ghosts of Wakanda and EverStrange are still ever-present in my life and mind. I have the next chapter almost done and while I don't think I'll have it done this week (festivals coming up), I should hopefully have it up by sometime next week.

There will probably come a time when I can watch Season 3 and accept it for what it is. Make no mistake, there are things about it that I really love (Aziraphale's "You were the best of us" speech to name one).

But there's also a feeling of loss, a feeling of what could have been.

I've talked a lot about my Shameless series on AO3, and I am incredibly proud of it. Like everyone and their mother, I wrote out my hopes and expectations for Season 3 and, as someone whose forte is not writing prose, I'll say it again: I'm really fricken proud of it.

I've also meant to go back over it and clean it up a bit. (I got Muriel's pronouns wrong and want to correct that.)

What's more, I have a coworker with an Etsy shop who does professional bookbinding and I've joked that one day, I'd like her to bind one of my fics. Not to sell (obviously) just to have. Once I'm done reworking this fic, I want to take her up on that offer.

So that's what I'm doing now.

I don't really know why I'm sharing this here -- probably because Tumblr is the only place that I really express these feelings to an audience that understands.

Doing that has already helped me cope a bit.

Fictional storytelling is a multiverse where anything can happen. My version. Your version. The version portrayed in the TV show. If I didn't have fan fiction, I think I'd be incredibly depressed right now (more than I am).

Like I said, I will learn to deal with it and maybe one day even learn to love it.

In the meantime, I will keep editing and reading and writing.

I hope you do the same.

Me: Shut up and kiss that poor broken man!

Robby: Hey there. You doing okay? I can't help but wonder if you're only using me and Dennis here as a rebound.

Me: I have no idea what you're talking about.

(Robby gestures to the angel and the demon in the corner who are slowly fading into oblivion. I hiss, cry, vomit, and then turn back to Robby.)

Me: Don't diagnose me, Mikey-boy.

(Robby and Whitaker proceed to kiss.)

The best compliment I get about Dead Doves and Lemons is when someone genuinely starts writing themselves. I have had people message me to say, "I started dabbling in writing because you made fan fiction sound so open and loving."

“I’m just finishing up in here, dear,” Aziraphale called, “I’ll be with you in two shakes of a lamb’s tail.”

He stepped back into the toilet, turned the water on as hot as possible, and scoured his hands and arms until they were red.  It only then occurred to Aziraphale – as he finished drying – that all this time, Crowley had been curiously quiet.  The angel poked his head out of the toilet again and was abruptly taken aback; the sight shocked him into silence. 

Crowley, now in bipedal form, was seated on the bed; his hair, frizzy and tousled, one shoe was missing, there were large lateral cuts on the front of his dress, and he appeared to be bleeding from the chest.  

With his dark glasses now long gone, he glanced up at Aziraphale and said plainly, “I learned something about myself today.”
