They shared all the commentary that this was a three piece gag. OK, first of all, you have the moment before the tear with the veil, then you have the actual tear, then you have the after tear. So to create these three beats they had to use fishing line, special effects, a hook like thing on the door to snag the veil. It was weeks of figuring it out and timing it. Kelly Cantley, our assistant director, had to wear the veil twice as they tested it out. And they said Jenna, they were really thankful because you really sold it. You really played out that your head was sort of tugged in a different direction as you were moving the other way. Yeah, it was crazy. We filmed the whole scene and I like didn’t tear my veil at all. And then they actually connected me to the thing, like-. The fishing line. And the hook. So like, I’m connected to it, but I’m pretending like I’m not. And then they sort of like, pull the thing and I pull my head. And sometimes the veil wouldn’t tear. So then we had to do like what Randy said a third time where they replaced my good veil that wouldn’t tear with a torn veil to get like the after effect of the torn veil. It was a whole thing. It looks seamless and it’s sort of amazing how much effort it took to get that little moment. -Angela & Jenna
