Victoria strung Taylor along for a stupid amount of time, getting drunk and hooking up with Taylor and pretending nothing happened while sober and Taylor pretends this doesn’t hurt her feelings terribly. Taylor gets tired of Victoria using her and ends the sex and their friendship. This occurs during the “Victoria loses everything and is forged into a better person” arc. This lasts through graduation and into college. Victoria, now sober, sends a late night apology email to Taylor who is in school in New York. This starts a tentative friendship that deepens through their calls and texts and emails until eventually Taylor visits Victoria. They go slow and eventually start dating for real officially.

The first time Victoria said 'I love you' to Taylor was during one of these drunk hookups, she doesn't remember that. Taylor does. the first time she remembers telling Taylor 'I love you' was 9 months into dating long distance and she nearly ended their video call early because she hadn't meant for it to slip out.

Taylor doesn't really get anime but she indulges Vic and watches it with her sometimes, especially when Vic is having rough times after therapy or when school an her galley work at the Chase Space becomes overwhelming.
