We start when Jago was 19 years old in Charter Hill. When he told his parents he was trans and they kicked him out.

With only a few thousand dollars to his name, he went to a ripper doc in Japantown and got two things: a Doll chip and a BD rec implant. He started working as a Joytoy in Jig-Jig street, a Doll at Clouds, and a dancer in any club he could.

He ended up living in the same Megabuilding as Clouds with a few other Dolls, who basically became his family.

For several years, he saved whatever money he could, and after three of those years, he got a cyberdeck and learned some netrunning skills in order to protect his chip, which he quickly learned was pretty easily hackable. From that, he ended up doing more and more netrunning, and eventually worked for Wakako Okada for the next year, giving what money he could to his doll friends, and still doing Doll and BD work on the side.

After poking around in corp nets on gigs, he was found by NetWatch, who then brought him to Petrochem, where he worked for the next year, where he was also miserable, and started to plan his escape... unfortunately, this plan involved embezzlement, and when he was caught, he landed in jail for the next two years, where a ripper made sure that his doll chip could never be removed.

After he was released, he went back to Doll, BD and Joytoy work, as Wakako no longer wanted to work with him.

A year after that, he found himself in another Situation on his way back home, when a Ganger with a knife dragged him into an alley to rob and possibly kill him. He was able to turn it around (a mans first flatline!!! yay!!!) and ended up being able to drain the gangers credit before trying to make a run for it, but was stopped by someone else who heard the struggle- though he thought was someone with the guy who tried to kill him, which led to him punching that man square in the chest.

But it wasn't a Ganger. Instead, it was a Solo Merc by the name of Charles Graham, who heard everything and wanted to make sure he was alright. (I'll make a post at some point talking about my head canons for Charlie)

After some time talking, Jago agreed to let him walk with him to make sure he made it home, and Charles told him that, if he ever felt like doing anymore work with mercs, to let him know.

He took him up on that offer.

They started working together soon after, and they had a routine worked out. They'd go together on gigs during the day, then Charles would drop him off where ever he was working that night.

This same year, Kurt Hansen took over what would eventually become Dogtown. And residence of NC started fleeing there.

They both decided they needed to get there if they wanted to stay alive much longer. Jago tried to get his doll friends to join him, but they did not want to go with him.

The next year, they left NC and got a place in the Stacks. There was a Fixer there already (Not Hands, before him), and they were some of the only mercs in town at that point, which let them quickly establish themselves.

The year after that is when they were put on Barghest's radar. Two pups who came across Jago one night and tried to force his doll chip to activate. Instead, they got quickhacked, then more than a little busted up by Charlie (Who was nearby), then a lot of their cred drained by Jago before he and Charlie ran.

Hansen was not happy with those pups. But he also took interest in the netrunner who drained the credit.

Once he found that netrunner, he went to him and his fellow merc with an offer. Join Barghest as the Chief Netrunner and CFO.

Jago accepted on one condition. That Charlie go with him.

And that leads them where they are today. Jago's managed to find uses for the Doll chip- being a proxy for Hansen if there's meetings in Dogtown outside of the Sapphire or the Stadium, or if they have to go to the city. He's started using the BD recorder as a way to gather intel.

And that's just life now.
