They are autistic (projecting and maybe they hide to get away from a lot of stimulation) and use an AAC device to talk as they can only make noises otherwise.

I feel like the Bed Monster is diabetic, it could have low sugar due to moving around a lot or taking too much insulin and that is why it wants to eat the patients and staff and goes away when given Maple Syrup (extreme hunger is a symptom of a hypo for some). This is not a projection as I don't have diabetes but I think it fits. I know this is a monster but it could happen, I think so anyway. (Edit: forgot to say which type of diabetes I headcanon the Bed Monster with, it is Type 1 diabetes)

Just something about how I think it would be cool if Helob could be a follower in CoTL.

I know it is a machine but it is also an SCP, plus it is a literal thinker. Is this just me because I am projecting or do I make a good point here?
