ok but degrassi: next class not only has a beautiful diverse cast that only includes ONE straight white cis male, but it also represents/covers topics such as:

consent (in general AND in a relationship)

feminism (actual feminism not just white feminism… the feminism club is run by a beautiful hijabi… i’m living)

the term ‘feminazi’ & the misconception of feminism being “man-hating”

sexism in the gaming world

online threats/doxxing

interracial relationships

so much different mental illness representation

biphobia from the lgbt community

cat-calling & misogyny

assuming peoples’ sexualities based on their appearance

female masturbation

pansexual represenation

islamophobia

drug addiction/prescription pill abuse & the actual withdrawals when you try to quit

getting therapy/help when you need it

how an abusive parent affects everyone in the family

getting tested for stds/stis
