I'm heartbroken over the loss of my friend Feliks. My favorite memories of him are just when we would always end up at Thunderbird together working on projects and talking about our journalism dreams. I always felt lucky to know him and I'm really gonna miss all his hilarious tweets and pictures of his cats and his general happy presence.

I am absolutely overwhelmed with the sheer size of the women's march on Austin alone. We're the not so silent majority. I stole this slogan off of a stranger on the internet because it really resonated with me. It's something we all need to work on. Just because something doesn't affect you directly doesn't mean it doesn't matter. So today I marched for the rights of everyone. Women, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ, native Americans, everyone. #whyimarch (at Texas State Capitol)
