The Sea God's Sorrow
In Odo's shadow, 'neath war's heavy sky,
I walk the ancient paths where our ancestors lie.
Heavy my heart, with war's cruel sting,
To the sacred sea-cliff I solemnly bring.
Mighty Gojira, guardian of our isle so dear,
Born of the ocean, awakening fear and reverence here.
To him, our cattle we humbly offer in these stark times,
From ocean's dark depths, he brings fish, a sign.
A ritual of trust, once harmonious and bright,
Now veiled in war's shadow, lost to the night.
As battles rage, setting the world alight,
Gone is the tranquility, the peaceful night.
Above, warplanes tear through our once peaceful sky,
Shattering the calm where our hopes used to lie.
The great beast, troubled by this strife and din,
Reflects the tumult of the world we're in.
Our villagers, faces marred by grief and pain,
Look upon our sea god, their sorrow like rain.
Blind are the soldiers to the lore of our land,
Ignoring the truths on which our ancestors stand.
Leading our cattle, my thoughts dark and deep,
I ponder the war, the sorrows we reap.
In Gojira's presence, our silent, shared woe,
Understanding the pain that lies below.
Our fate, entwined with the world's cruel fray,
Casts a shadow over our island, day after mournful day.
The titan, once a symbol of awe, now shrouded in gloom,
Reflecting my heart, in war's all-consuming doom.
With our offering made, a fleeting peace descends,
As our sea god retreats, his silent message he sends.
I walk back, my spirit weary, torn apart,
In a world of conflict, a forlorn heart.
On Odo Island, where old tales whisper of sadness and dread,
Lies a story of war, where once goodness tread.
A girl and a creature, bound in sorrow's heavy chain,
Together bearing the weight of war's unceasing pain.
