World’s Toughest Mudder - Course Map - Puzzle 02
Brady Archer, the WTM Course Designer, is releasing the course map a puzzle piece at a time. These three puzzle pieces were released yesterday.
Once again, I am just a spectator to all the excitement and puzzle building. I am using the images created by the WTM Community. The course stats puzzle piece just confirms that there is 839 feet of elevation gain PER Lap. That was released with the elevation data that I will probably talk about in a future post. But it also tells us there are 9 obstacles with penalties. I was already worried about penalty mileage and it looks like about half of the obstacle will have a consequence for not being able to do them. Also, there are 12 must complete obstacles which I assume if you can’t do them you are DQ’d.
I have come a long way to adding upper body strength to this runner slash soccer player body of mine, but those numbers mess with my head a bit. I am confident that I can do the obstacles, but I am still worried a bit. It took me almost the whole year of running Tough Mudders to finally complete some of them. World’s Toughest Mudder will debut new obstacles as well as feature obstacles that I haven’t done yet. I just have to get out there, trust myself, and do them.
Everest is shown in the furthest right piece and I was able to finally be able to do that by myself at the end of the year confidently. Tough Mudders are all about camaraderie and World’s Toughest Mudder obstacles will not be any different. I imagine some of them will take teamwork out there to complete. Everyone will be helping each other. This eases my mind a lot. I am just so anxious! I want to know the whole map already!!
