On Tuesday, April 2, the Long Center and Health Alliance for Austin Musicians are excited to bring you a special evening with Brené Brown, Texas Monthly’s John Spong, and Austin artists, Gina Chavez and Carrie Rodriguez presented by Fern Santini Collaborative with support from Soriya Estes & Kelli House.

Through the course of the evening, researcher, storyteller, and professor, author, podcast host, and Texan, Dr. Brené Brown, John Spong, and Austin musicians Gina Chavez and Carrie Rodriguez will use storytelling and song to explore the issues that make us human – love, loss, change, and hope.

You are cordially invited to The Groove Temple's UNITED VOL 8: A Black History Month Boogie. We can't express our excitement about our 8th annual celebration of blackness, house music culture, women, fellowship, and dance in #Austin! This go-round, we welcome for the first time ever DJ BLUE LOTUS (SATX/ATX) and DJ LÓA (NYC/ATX), and LetaK Photography, alongside the creator of “UNITED”, DJ SHANI (CHI/ATX)! This one-of-a-kind event, in partnership with #Polaroid, is where you need to be for a dose of your #BlackHistoryMonth celebration!

We will always educate #Austin about the #AfricanAmerican and #LGBTQ+ communities that created #HouseMusic in #Chicago! DJ Lóa, DJ Blue Lotus, and DJ Shani will play a mix of #DeepHouse#SoulfulHouse #ClassicHouse #GospelHouse #AfroHouse & #TechHouse all night long.

The Groove Temple and Limestone Rooftop (Cambria Hotel - Downtown) are committed to ensuring that our #MobilityImpaired sisters and brothers are able to come and boogie with us! Take the elevator to the 16th floor to join our gathering. If you use wheelchairs, walkers, canes and any other devices, you are always welcome.
