yo, we're the angel cove choir. we're a choir of 15-or-so angels, and we like to draw and make comics. we're bodily 23. we do not know what kind of cdd we have but we know that we have one based on symptoms.

this blog is anti endo/willo/tulpa adjacent, pro educated self-diagnosis. so, kindly do not interact if you are an ableist. we also are not christian, despite the theme lol.

warnings: The nature of this blog necessitates that we'll be posting about trauma, dissociation, mental health, abuse, and other such topics. we also may be posting adult or suggestive topics such as drugs and kink as we are adults and our system doesn't just turn off when we do adult things. that being said we really enjoy our privacy so what IS discussed will be tasteful.

pictured above are the colorful cast of characters you'll see in these comics. some may look like fictional characters and have motifs similar to fictional characters - but please do not treat posts you see them in like they're fandom posts.

not every comic is accurate and some are exaggerated to be funny. we get silly with it sometimes.

thought i'd make a dedicated post for an faq just to have. i have not in fact received a lot of frequently asked questions, but sometimes people would rather know beforehand (i know i would). so... faq! here it is! gestures broadly!

"Can I draw your avatars/sonas?"

yes, please do, if you want to. if you'd like to take creative liberties we would prefer that you ask first.

"Art trade? Commissions?"

eh, not usually our thing. sorgy :"]

"I'm a singlet/questioning system/fellow system. Can I ask you questions?"

yes, of course you can ask us questions, and it's encouraged. if we feel an ask is too invasive, we simply will not give it a response.

please do not ask us about anything system discourse related (e.g. "what are endos/willos/etc? why are they not valid? why is xyz problematic?"). @/antiendovents has some great resources, as well as @/the-complicity-system and @/sysfreak-official. please be polite when asking.

please do not ask me to diagnose you, either. i'm uncomfortable picking a concrete diagnostic label for myself until i'm in therapy, let alone other people.

"What do you make your music in?"

we make music in a beepbox mod called ultrabox, which you can mess around with here! it's got all my preferences and recommendations preloaded onto it, you'll just have to change up the instruments. plus it's got a nifty little purple theme. cute! if you have any questions about how to use it, i implore you to ask my main blog instead, @mxboxlocks.

"Why are some of your alters darker than others?"

we are biracial, so some connect more to our mexican/hispanic heritage, and some of us connect more to our whiteness. we do not believe in alter race. we have a largely aphantasiac headspace (as trying to "create" one damaged us a bit... thanks simply plural /sar), so we are usually "heard" and not "seen". the variations in skintone are largely visual representations.

"You're not Christian. So, why angels? Is it a religious trauma thing?"

nope. we just think angels are Fuckin Cool And Badass :)

also, we were in choir from 6th grade to highschool graduation, and it gave us a deep, DEEP appreciation for and connection to music. hymn compositions were a big part of that, so despite our personal disdain for Christianity, they're an artform that we highly respect.

we look back on our own accounts of how our life went, and we remember foggy bits and pieces. and then, the cracks start to show a little bit. "well, i think i remember being bullied. i don't actually remember being called names. or hit. but i remember i was called weird and laughed at sometimes. and i remember i was alone a lot. and i remember that nobody liked to be alone with me for too long."

"wait, was that me, or spindash? did spindash exist before i did, or vice versa? was she host? are we twins, and if we are is she just stuck at nine years old?"

"we're so similar. we blend together so easily. she holds more memories than i do, but my life starts where hers paused. which doesn't make sense. i've been here the longest; there's several of us that think so, but granted, none of them are as old as spindash and i." and while writing this i literally zoned out blurry-vision style and couldn't move.

it's exhausting. i want answers. not all the answers, i just want a few. i want certainty. i want concrete truth, but i can never have that. i can hardly tell you what i talked about at lunch yesterday, and i don't think i'll ever remember.

we've been recounting things wrong on pure accident since our lives began.

however, we are working on an animatic with all of us set to a song very dear to our hearts, and that's slow rolling but super fun. we got a new phone recently too, so we're back to our usual editing program. fuck microsoft clipchamp for real it's so dookie
