A Curious Place

Fragment considers himself lucky, Remnant being able to go to other worlds has been the best distraction. He can focus a bit more on the Distortion World and its maintenance. As well as.... that. And with Remnant currently gone he might as well check and maintain it.

Fragment moves through the Distortion World, moving deeper and deeper. While Remnant may not be here, the guests are another story. Hopefully none will find him this deep. This is not something they should ask or know about.

Fragment slows after an hour or so, this should be deep enough. In a flash his appearance changes, becoming the ghost of who he was once. Too bad he can't feel anymore, physically at least, but it was worth it.

Fragment takes a deep breath, concentrating. He extends his mind outward, feeling the borders between the Distortion World and the other world and the barrier separating them. It still holds strong, good it shows no one has tried to breach from the other side and Remnant isn't strong enough to try yet. Hmmm but there are many holes and gaps, not enough to worry but still.

He'll have to patch them, and no better time than now. He could patch them all simultaneously and br done with it. But he would disappear for some time, and Remnant hasn't seen it happen before. With a sigh he decides to not do all of them at once, which means the long way it is.

With a flash of his eyes he gets to work. Portals begin opening around him, in moments they flash and close. More open and close as he works. He mostly ignores the sights and sounds through the portals. Not much has probably changed since they've been gone, and no one probably knows.

He works diligently through the task, until he stops. His eyes widen at a sight, sadness breaking as ge looks.

"I am so sorry, that I did not act when I should have." He says out loud, his voice cracking as he speaks. "If I had things would be different and you....

The young Arcetina nods at the Sceptile's words. Well if two adults are saying that's what it means they guess it's true. They perk up at the mention of candy. "Like sweets? Just hiding around here?

Ummm, I've never had sweets before.... " Rem admits. "I've only been given berries to eat."

A health blog follows.

"No I just found this place is all." Rem says as they stare at a decoration."I don't know what this is all about either.

..... what's a repr-that word you said?"

Rem turns to the new Pokemon, they were a little distracted with the new surroundings. As they see who's talking their eyes go wide. The Arcetina's breath catches in their chest as a mix of wonder, curiosity and a twinge of fear overcomes them. For a brief moment they're quiet before they speak. "Woah you're a Palkia?! That's amazing! So are you really powerful? Can you really control and like warp space and stuff and-?"

The young fusion stops themself as the questions come out. "Oh sorry, um, I've never met a Palkia before.

And well, I'm an Arcetina! I am a naturally made fusion of Arceus and Giratina. Even if I don't know how to do the things they can do..... But! I can like make portals and get the Plate thingies, even if it's scary to attune to one...."

They pause for a moment as they shudder before talking again. "I don't know what else I can say but I hope that's enough!"

* Pepper was watching Sonny play when he suddenly saw Rem's portal open up. He was caught off guard and as he squawked in surprise, his crest went up. However, when he saw what came out of the portal, his shock turned to pleasant surprise. It was a young fusion of gods. He still looked scrawny and his crest was at it's peak, but he just needed time to get out of that initial shock. Regardless he still spoke in a friendly demeanor. Or at least. as friendly as a middle aged cranky Shoutot can suffice themselves to be.

(Pepper) Hello there little one! You certainly did me a surprise there. Never thought I'd see a hybrid of the creator and the child of the distortion. The HGA never made hybrids quite like that. I should probably welcome you, although I'd suggest introducing yourself to the same Darkrai I welcomed myself to.

"Hm? Oh hello!" Rem responds to the bird Pokemon they've never seen one like them before. Maybe one of those regional evolutions they've heard about?

Rem's brow knits a little, child of Distortion? Fragment never called himself that. Guardian of the Distortion World yes, but never a child. Rem shrugs it off, different worlds different Pokemon.

" 'HGA'? I've never heard of them before. And I'm a 'natural' hybrid, whatever that means." Rem replies, they've never really asked Fragment what he meant by that anyways. "Hmmm, ok I'll go find this Darkrai!"

It's probably fine, it's just a party or something!
