There are a lot of people who are rich who don’t think owning the home you live in is a wise investment. I was recently watching an interview with Beyonce’s dad on VladTV… Both Matthew Knowels and Vlad are millionaires who are renting their home.

The simplified version of it is, if you own property that someone else is living on and paying for, it’s fine because your tenant is eating the cost and paying the interest on the loan.

However, if you live in the home that you own, you aren’t earning any money on it. And even if the home is paid for in full, it isn’t making you any money other than property value (which may not go up).

And for a recording artist (or anyone famous), you dont spend enough time in your home to justify the purchase because you’re always on the move
