  She had been upstaris practicing when she heard Robert come home. Jumping up to head down so they could leave for dinner, she paused she she heard him call up the stairs. A small laugh escaped her as she continued down. Hoping from the last step, she skipped into the kitchen. “Oh. Were you saving that? My bad. No about dinner.”

“Y’know, if I really wanted to I could ground you, kid. Eating the last cookie is very serious business in this house.” Robert mussed her hair as he past the girl to throw the empty box of cookies in the garbage. “But for now buy your own boxes of cookies and stop eating mine.” He gave her a quick pout before smiling, “Dinner. Where you wanna go?”
