Like the day couldn’t get worse, she thought, as she looked up at him and rolled her eyes. Her hands went to her waist and she raised an eyebrow. “First of all, I am not a princess.” God, she didn’t even know him, but she already hated him and it was something so odd because Hazel used to be so calm. She looked at her watch, nervously bitting her lower lip, she was already late anyways… Hazel sighed while walking toward him to pick up her ballet shoes. “Oh really? And I suppose you’re saying this because you are one of the most dangerous people around here?” She passed through him, frowning. “I’m not afraid of you, or anybody else.” Hazel was fearless enough to say that, even though she knew it was a completely lie.
“Are you sure? Because I’d just love to send you back to your kingdom.” Luca had always had a special ability of getting under people’s skin with barely a few sentences into the conversation. Nothing about him came off as friendly, because he didn’t want to. His life has enough drama as it is and growing up in a world filled with stuck up chicks such as her, he knew better than to take crap from her kind. “Oh, me? Of course not. I wouldn’t hurt anyone unless provoked.” As she tried to brush past him, his hand grasped onto her forearm, stopping her on her tracks. From his blue orbs the amusement had vanished, replaced by stoic features. “I wouldn’t go around and provoke every guy you meet. Like I said, this is a tough neighborhood.”
