Dark types aren't evil

Seeing the girl was just as serious as he was, he nodded and carefully walked around. He didn’t want to make too much noise so he could hear any faint movement. And then she spoke again, sounding a little urgent. He quickly turned and dashed over.

“What, for real? Let’s get them out of there!” Without missing a beat, the man grabbed a pokeball and opened it up. “Absol, buddy, I need your help!”

The Absol formed in front of him and did a little hair flip before looking at what they were called out for. “Absol, help us clear some of this debris, we think there’s someone under there!”

Just like that, Absol hopped up the rubble and started digging to the middle while Roy starting digging from the side. “Stay calm, focus your breathing to be nice and slow! We’ll get you out real soon!”

“That’s an Absol!” Raira gasped excitedly. She worked on digging out from the other side, but she really wanted a closer look at the dark type. “Arceus, I love Absol, always have~ They’re so cool and strong,” And they tend to be around disasters just like her. 

“What in the-” Roy looked up to the building’s rooftop, the one that had just caused that loud boom sound. A bomb? Oh no… He started running inside, slipping through the people who were trying to get out. He spoke loudly to the microphone in his helmet. “Sis! Go offline until I text you, I don’t want you to see what might be up there!”

The blue light on his visor went off. She’s not watching. Heroic deeds is one thing, letting her see a body is another. He went up as far as he could until he reached wreckage. No fires. That’s good. Just a giant hole in the ceiling. He looked around. Looks like those who could leave already have. But just because he didn’t see anyone, doesn’t mean there isn’t. “Hello?? Is anyone here?? Can you hear me??”

He heard a voice talk out. He turned to face the girl. Looks like he wasn’t the only one brave enough to come up here. But…

“Ma’am, I’m afraid the danger level of this area is uncertain. There could be another explosion. If you have any second thoughts, I advice you listen to them.” 

Oh shit he wasn’t a cosplayer? “Something tells me there probably won’t though,”She laughed. Oh wait, does that make her seem more or less guilty?” Anyway, if you’re here to help find people too, hun, let’s go. I doubt everyone got away unscathed...”

Ok, maybe starting a battle on a higher level of a tall hotel wasn’t her smartest move, but in her defense she wasn’t the idiot who told their pokemon to use explosion in said battle. This however, doesn’t change that the building is now collapsing. She could probably make it out of the new hole in the wall if she wanted, but there were still people inside.

She grabbed the trainer she had been battling with and started running. There was a roof on the other side, hopefully the other idiot would be safe there?

“Oh geez Oh geez Oh GeeEEEEAAAH!” At least she stuck the landing? With a little help from her partial flying typing. But that still begs the question, what now? She could go back and help people...or she could escape the scene before the cops show up and start looking for answers.

She went back into the building. Stumbling through around the broken up floor, looking for anyone who was stuck. And she found....A guy in a superhero costume?

“What? You two have slept together by now, right?“

“I went many centuries without a Mewmas gift my dear, I do not need a gift. I would be happy just to spend the day in your company.“

“O-oh, uhm... I...I was planning on doing that anyway, hun.”

“Yes, I could.“

“Can I claim to both?“

“Hey, just because I’ve never messed around in my Bird-Form doesn’t mean Gramps hasn’t!“

“Apparently not.”
