I suddenly realized that even in Little’s tragic and horrible death, you can find that hilarious “fuck you, I don’t give a shit about you” tone from the captain. I mean, he found him literally alive!!! Yes, he was dying, but maybe he could have been, I don’t know, nursed back to health, how can you be one hundred percent sure he would die? I even remember that the screenplay had a note saying Little probably wouldn’t survive more than a day or two - which is still quite a lot, really? You could at least try to give a person a dignified end. Honestly, you find a man from your own crew who is still breathing, but instead of taking care of him, warming him up, trying to save him, you just sit down next to him, all gloomy, and ponder the tragic fate you share. You don’t even look him in the face, don’t say a single kind word. Fuck you, Edward Little, keep freezing to death.
