Journey to the New Beginning

I just want to thank all the friends and family members that stayed by my side from my transition from senior year to my freshman year of college. Also I am thankful for being able to have this chance to even be here. My parents also helped me the most during my hardest of days.

November 5th four days before my birthday me and my girlfriend for a year and a half broke up and it just didn’t feel the same anymore. I had to adjust to being on my own again and just work on myself as a person. This song was one our favorite songs and it just soothes you down. Whenever i hear this I think about my ex and really it helps me get over her a little.

It was Homecoming week and everyone was having the times of their lives. I went to a party basically everyday of that week. It was my first college Homecoming and i loved it. Me and my closest friend Chris turned up as a team everyday. It made us closer and made us best friends to this day.

It was finally move in day and I couldn’t have been happier. The whole car ride i played Lil Uzi Vert hyping myself up for this new experience. The song “Top” came on and I put it on replay. It was a step into a new experience and I was ready for this change.

Chance the Rapper was one of my favorite rap artist and my girlfriend gave me the chance to go to one of his concerts. The week before we started college me and Alexis went to the Fox Theater to attend the concert. It was exciting and the atmosphere was great. It was a great day and I was thankful that my girlfriend gave me that experience.

Before i moved to Georgia i lived in Long Island, New York and I had two best friends who were basically my brothers. During the summer of 2016 i went back home to make sure I made it to their graduation. I surprised both of them and it felt as though i had never left. When their graduation was over we all got together and sang this song because it was our favorite song freshman year.

It was finally our day for me and my classmates to finally graduate and be done with High School. I went to pick up 3 of my closest friends and i immediately turned on our favorite song. We all rapped, jumped, and swang our heads as we turned up for our last day. Everyone was glad that our time had finally came and we just wanted to enjoy this time.

Nothing could have made my day any better. I was with my beautiful girlfriend (now my ex) and everything seemed to be perfect. On the way to the hotel room my phone had shuffled to Frank Ocean’s “Thinking Bout You”. I looked at my girlfriend and all I could do was smile.
