I want to address something related to Natalie's job today. I still see people saying she's unemployed because she follows Henry around the world, but what some people obviously don't understand (or don't want to understand) is that she works remotely. I'm going to share some details about what that actually means:
As VP overseeing TV, a lot is strategic and creative development rather than daily on-set production. Vertigo is a smaller/mid-sized company compared to major studios, which often allows more flexibility. Much of the work involves calls, Zooms, emails, script reading, project oversight, and deal-making. These can be done remotely.
Industry norms post-COVID: Hollywood has widely adopted hybrid and remote-friendly policies for executives. Many roles no longer require daily office presence, especially in development and TV oversight.
They prioritize UK living long-term, that means she may have negotiated significant flexibility or the role has evolved to support it.
In summary, yesβworking remotely from home is realistic and aligns with how many entertainment executives operate today.
In my personal opinion β and this is purely speculation, not a confirmed fact β I think Natalie left Legendary because she wouldn't have been able to work remotely from the UK. Remote work is definitely possible, but living in the UK adds complications, and not every studio is willing to accommodate it. Vertigo, on the other hand, was open to it. The main issue seems to be the massive 8-hour time difference. As Henry mentioned in one of his interviews, Natalie works on LA hours.
