To answer both your questions, absolutely not!

I obviously write about my life a great deal. But sometimes it stops me. What you need to remember is that knowing is a limiting thing. A lot of times I want to write about something that happened to me, but because I can’t think of the exact words I want to use, I get frustrated and stop. So what I do is twist it to mean something else. For instance, I write more poems about love when I’m alone, and I write more poems about heartbreak when I’m happily in love. I think it’s important to explore all emotions, not just the ones you’re feeling at the time. (Although it’s important not to claim that these things happened to you if asked directly. That would be lying.)
