My Random Pete Saengtham Headcanons
Pete killed his father. It wasn't cathartic or anything, just a simple case of his father got drunk enough and Pete got angry enough.
He would have gotten away with it if Chan didn't catch him in the act. To this day he doesn't know what Chan was doing in the small village, but he never asked.
Pete became a bodyguard because he saw no other option for a poor man like him.
Pete is the eldest of the main bodyguards (minus Chan) at twenty-eight.
He was the first of the main bodyguards (minus Chan) to arrive at the compound, and has been there for a decade.
Training bodyguard Pete had super long shaggy hair, but he eventually cut it into the bowl cut we see in the show.
Post-canon, he grows his hair out again, which Vegas is so normal about.
Upon meeting Pete, Korn felt something was off about him, but he could never pin down what. He was relieved when Pete faded into the background so he didn't have to expend his old man energy on one more piece on the chess board (until that piece made himself a queen).
As the eldest of the main bodyguards, Pete was around to watch the members of the family grow up for a decade.
When Vegas was younger, Pete found him very annoying due to Vegas making his job harder on every possible occasion. This was a reason he wasn't very intimidated, because he had the "pleasure" of knowing spoiled rich brat Vegas.
Vegas never noticed Pete, this is a fact he is kicking himself about now. This was partly because Vegas categorized long-haired Pete and bowlcut Pete into two seperate entities, and was thrown when he saw Pete in long hair again.
Pete was so good at killing they had to teach him how to wound.
Pete is one of the only bodyguards who didn't treat Macau as annoying, which is a low bar but it got him in his good graces.
Pete making himself fade into the background was a purposeful survival tactic, along with making himself valuable to Tankhun so he would be in the compound all the time.
To this day, Pete is very impressed with what Porsche managed to get away with considering it would have been a death sentence for any other bodyguard.
At some point, Chan started to train Pete and Big to take over his job figuring one of them would survive... and he was right, but now the training is on the opposite team.
Vegas didn't make Pete worse, he was already there. Vegas just drew it back out of him after Pete shoved it under a mask.
After Pete resigned, Kim beat himself up over not recognizing Pete as a "traitor" sooner (I wish I could remember what fanfiction this was in, but it was so good).
No one predicted VegasPete, although Korn will pretend he did to his dying breath.
