Nix stood in the butchers waiting for his meat to be ready, he was on his phone when he saw someone walk past. He left the butchers quickly and approached them. “Hey. I’m inviting everyone to my easter sunday meal. I’m in a real good mood tonight and I’ve just accidentally ordered and paid for way to much meat. Would you like to join us? I’d hate to have anyone feel left out.” He said before smiling and waiting for their answer.
Feeling particularly run down, Diana decided to take a walk. She had spent her day thus far in her underwear watching countless episodes of How I Met Your Mother and drinking wine. It was a beautiful day and although she may not have felt it herself, she knew it was a necessity to take advantage of the weather. “Oh,” she murmured, a little taken back when the figure stopped her. “I don’t think I’m the best company for anyone right now,” she chuckled lightly, attempting to hide the deeper truth to her words.

Raising an eyebrow at the tone, she took an involuntary step backwards. “I was just going to tell you there was a bug crawling up your back. You never know who’s scared of them, so I thought you might have wanted to know before it landed on skin.”
“We’re by the beach, kid, there’s bound to be bugs everywhere.” Diana sighed and swiped her back before tossing her hair to the side. She was well aware of the bitter undertone her voice carried, but was far too exhausted to care.

Wesley looked down at his cousin, raising an eyebrow at her before moving to sit beside her. “No reason to bite my head off, Diana. I was just coming to check up on you.” he said, eyeing the glass of wine she held in her hand. “So, sour puss, what’s got you feeling all snippy this evening?”
“Shit, sorry Wes.” Diana murmured, recognising her cousin through squinted eyes. “Just a little on edge, I guess.” Spending time with anybody other than her family was not on Diana’s agenda. She was well aware of the rumours that circulated and refused to give the feeble gossip anything to eat. “I’d just much rather be anywhere else, is all.” A quiet sigh emerged from her barely parted lips before taking another sip of her glass. “How are you, anyway?”

Before Diana could retort, her glass of wine was swiped from her fingers. “Get your own, jackass.” She mumbled, grabbing the glass back. “Oh you know, there’s something about sunshine and the presence of wholesome American families that really uplifts me.” She rolled her eyes, taking another sip from her glass.

Diana swung her legs carelessly by the edge of the water. Her fingers caressed the top of her wine glass, swiping the edge before bringing it to her lips.
