That’s shameful.

She’s frustrated that unexpectedly everything turned into shambles. Their perfect system failed somehow but it couldn’t be a diamond’s fault ( thats an anomaly actually ) so the gems are to blame. Especially those Rose Quartz. Something is off or wrong with them — and not knowing that solution for 5000 yrs is infuriating.

How embarrassing.

How sickening to bubble the only gems that resembled Pink the most.

She was irritated at Pink’s lack of maturity. That Pink did not take her/their roles seriously. She did not take her purpose seriously. And perhaps they (herself included) contributed to this. Someone has to be the bad person, otherwise Pink won’t achieve her fullest potential. More punishments. Removal of Pearl. Gifting Spinel to make amends. Spying.

Criticism is how she helps.

Yellow is an I told you so. “If you’d listened, things would be better.” “I always have to clean up your accidents.”

And she does this for not only Pink, but Blue and White as well. She has to be the strongest for them. Who will keep things going if she actually sat down to feel it all?

I think truly Yellow wanted Pink to have everything a diamond should have. She believed in Pink’s capabilities as a diamond but sought to change her — Forgetting gems emerge fully themselves. Yellow especially was not satisfied with how Pink presented. If only she fixed this part of herself she’d be perfect.

Yellow wanted Pink to be great. But couldn’t grasp that Pink’s purpose may differ. Pink was already great.

There’s so little we see about Yellow being soft. I love everytime she laughs or is curious about something. Peridot’s SU journey best reflects what this Jasper AU.

Half the reason I made this was because we see lots of versions of serious/angry characters having that softer side.

Gotta thank the universe that Pink didn’t succeed as a Diamond. Thank goodness we are not following BD as the leader cuz she would have inspected that whole planet for specific answers.

Yellow is the weakest and most obedient diamond of the 4. A gem can physically heal. The authority creates weapons to effect gem’s bodies.

They can’t recreate alternate versions of Pink, Blue, or White’s abilities.

Volleyball, Spinel cannot return to their former selves due to the psychological effects of Pink.

Thinking thinking

Thermal abilities Steven can withstand higher temperatures than other humans. He can overheat from excessive use of diamond abilities. Though homeostasis can be gained with more training

- maybe a Bismuth fusion that can see thermal readings

Vibrations can offer information via stomping the ground to produce sound waves then measure them.

- check for traffic congestion, cartographic readings of location, discover buried gem tech

This ability requires concentration. It however can alert a hidden gem monster of presence, can affect seismograph readings

- a lapis fusion may be great

Alchemy Them going FullMetal Alchemist is interesting. Just combining raw materials and summoning regular human items like a hammer, cup, or knives etc. (not too high on my list may be better for a fusion)

- This is perfect for a Peridot fusion
