Where attention was aimed changed the physical outcome. Focusing on the ceiling or the ground was associated with greater jump height and higher peak vertical ground reaction force than focusing on the body. โข Distal focus (ceiling) produced the largest jump height and force gains. โข Internal focus (body) shortened ground contact time and increased leg stiffness. โข Reactive strength index did not differ significantly between the three cues.
