My God and My All

Time is precious, it passes quickly. Time is a phase during which we make choices for our decisive and definitive state. Our fidelity to our duties decides our future and eternal fate. Time is a gift from God.

Do not be afraid to commit your life for others. Do not shy away from problems. Do not try to compromise with mediocrity or conformity. It is time to assume your responsibilities, to become involved, not to run away.

The peace of Christ can establish itself only where people are prepared to rid themselves of sin. Those who do not live in peace with God can hardly live in peace with each other.

All of us are capable of expressing ourselves, of transmitting our message to the world. But at the same time, each one of us must be a hearer. Our message will be more fitting the more the hearing of the Word of God is already present in our message

The Church is our Mother: a Mother who nourishes and reconciles. We cannot criticize our Mother as if she were a stranger, for we love the person who gave us life.

To live the Christian life well there is need of continual repairing, of reoccurring reforms, of repeated renewals. The Christian life is not soft or easy. It is not blindly optimistic. It is joyous but it is not happy-go-lucky.

We can all get lost at times, lost within ourselves or lost in the world about us. Allow Christ to find you, to speak to you, to ask of you whatever He wants.

God the Father loves each of you. It is not that He loves you too, but that He loves you most of all. His is a love so strong that it melts the hardness of the human heart. His is a justice that is clothed in mercy.

In the past the attacks against the Christian Faith came from without, from forces contrary and extraneous to the believing community. Today the snares arise from within, in the context of the rapid social change that is taking place in our age.

A deeply Christian life cannot be sustained by religious feelings alone or by a vague identification with a religious tradition.  What is required is an ever greater understanding of the Mystery of Salvation that is revealed in Christ and handed down in Sacred Scripture and Church teaching.

Change must be judged not so much for its own sake as for its content, its finality. Is the new of today leading us to a really better Christianity?

Whenever you refuse to accuse someone without proof, you announce the coming of the Kingdom of God and His justice. From that Kingdom no one is excluded.

Every burden is light when we are united to Christ, when it is He Who gives us the strength and breath to go on walking. On the other hand, how heavy the burden is when it is carried without Christ!

Have no enemies. Conquer hostility with the power of love. Cultivate a mentality and practice of nonviolence. Be open to the needy, the poor, the marginalized. May they be the specially invited guests at the table of your lives.

No matter where we look, no matter how we strive, if we wander far from God, we will not enjoy nature's tranquility, nor harmony and peace of soul. We will be restless and harassed, as though tossed by fever.

We have our individual personal duty to be good. That does not mean to be weak. It means to be capable of breaking the sad logical chain of evil by patience and forgiveness. It means to love, that is, to be Christians.
