Joohyun was glad. Jennie appeared to appreciate the conversation that’s going on between the two of them. Normally, Red Velvet’s leader would converse with words carefully thought out and recited as if it were memorized straight from a script. Most of the time, this happened whenever she was in front of the camera or in front of other people who she wasn’t very close to or very familiar with. While talking to Jennie, however, everything was lighthearted and casual despite their shared amusement with the deep crevices of the mind.
If Jennie was trying to get through Joohyun through flattery, Joohyun wasn’t sure. Still, the shorter female is able to laugh at her small comment in a more carefree manner, though the habit of covering her mouth was still there. “If I’m awesome, what do you call yourself? I don’t think I have more cool bones than you do in your body.” She smiled, pertaining to the girl’s charisma she would always see on stage. She discovered that Jennie was somehow a tiny bit different off of it, though. “If a forever lasting friendship is what Jennie wants, Jennie gets.” She smiled playfully at the younger, though it was an indication that she was most welcome to bother the older whenever she liked.
Though inner conscience told her that eating too much wouldn’t be a good idea in the long run, she slurps on her food as if the thought hadn’t even crossed her mind, her eyes curving into crescents as she agrees with Jennie yet again. “Yes, yes. I think we have to both thank and curse Kyle Hanagami choreographer for that.” She chuckles, aware that BLACKPINK and Red Velvet did share the same choreographer on some occasions.
The statement which cued from the older’s vocal chords left Jennie vaguely baffled, lips separating into a soft circle whilst a lone eyebrow furrowed in her fleeting moment of disbelief. However, succumbed to a lapse of thought, she then swung a hand in the air to coyly dismiss the words; her features crumpled softly, a smug smile concealed poorly by her efforts. “No way, don’t say that. I may seem cool but I’m really not. You know, in most people’s books, I’d probably be considered a dork if they knew me well enough,” she stated factually, expression rather matter-of-fact.
“Jennie gets...?” repeating to affirm the words, a mischevious curve paved over lips, “You’re feeding my bratty needs, eonnie. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?” A snicker erupted, eyes glinting playfully before lowering her head and consuming a light portion of her meal, vision unfazed and remaining settled on Irene. After the female had chewed and swallowed, a softer emotion instead laced the ambience of her face. “I’m joking. But-- A forever lasting friendship sounds nice. I like your company, so I hope we can only grow closer!”
The younger nodded to confirm her friend’s words, lips pressing tightly into a foolish smile that almost rendered rosy skin unseeable. With the utterance of each syllable, her utensils swayed in sync, bouncing from point to point, “Yes! The lovely curse of Kyle Hanagami’s choreography. He’s really talented, though, and he always provides enjoyable dances so... It’s best not to complain, right, eonnie? ... Even though it’s exhausting.”
