One arm folds over the other, he's familiar with what they are talking about. "Uh, yeah that raid by thee uh... crap what was his name..." Marionet? Mannequin? wasn't all that familiar on the details.
"An other Hero agency busted some up and coming Villain, I guess their plan was to take out SDN so they only had law enforcement to deal with... from what I understand it was pretty superficial, their was some property damage but, I don't know anything about any bodies, at least none that were kicking around the premise."
Takes a moment to think.
"SSO? I think? they busted the villain and cleaned up the whole henchman situation, so if you're looking for leads you may have to check there".
The cat detective pulls out their pockets. A little notebook fell on the floor. He scabbled and picked it up, the pen was out of ink. He shook it like a mad cat, still not working. By the time he got it working he wrote ONE thing 'SSO'. "Thank you! I have a feeling this case I am working on runs deep in hero corruption...... NOT YOU OF COURSE...." he shakes his head. "I think I am dealing with someone who THINKS they are a hero, but really one of the worst villains to date. Problem is I have no hard evidence. Apparently ' why would we listen to some stinky cat?' What does my stinkiness even have to do with anything?" He rambles off for a couple more minutes about how smelling like 'carpet chips' is not a real thing, and if anything he should smell like snacks.
...Yeah, that was fine he didn't need the caffeine anyway.
"Uh, no.. it's a long story but, I was.. sort of a Hero before I became a Dispatcher and, well now I am back to doing that".
Something told him however that was not the mystery the detective was trying to solve, and Robert had his own mystery to solve here too.
"How did you even get into the labs?... and.. what are you doing here?".
"I just kinda walk in and no one questions it..." Oh, that reminded him! Why he was here! He drops the pose and looks around. He is probably trustworthy, being a hero and all.
"So, have you seen any.... bodies around? I know something happened here....it was a few months ago." He touches his pointer fingers together, it took him so long to check in on this. "There was an attack, here and there was a bunch of bodies... I heard. I slept in that day." He mumbles a bit more, placing the tiny paw on his chin. "I am kinda in charge of finding them."

Meanwhile, today was the DAY! Detective Chase was on the case! First day he was too tired, second too hungry, third, got lost and forth, lost but in the building. This place was truly a maze of many tall creatures and people and walls.
Although... now he has seemed to find himself in a garage of sorts. Cars, bikes and even a suit of armor! Wait IS this place? Detective sprawled out on the floor, about to give up again.
Robert has been staring down at the short cat...thing for some time now. He made it a point to arrive to work early, always did just incase some emergency was going on in the ungodly hours of the morning. In his superhero gear, he clears his throat, the coffee in his hand seemed far more useful in the detectives paws.
"Detective?...".
They were acquainted before, when he was on Dispatchers duty at least, now the detective would be meeting him as a hero.
A bright light from above, an angel and the angel had coffee. He popped up and took the coffee. Oh, he recognized the angel! "Mr. Robert! I got lost again... and hmm do you look different? I like the new outfit!" The cat smiled before he chugged the entire coffee.
He put the empty cup absence mindedly on the foot of Robert's mech. He's basically bouncing now. "Let me guess!" The detective struck a pose, pulling the tip of his hat down in a way that only movies do. He then points up at Robert. "You got a promotion! Dispatcher no more! You, are a hero!" He holds the pose another second waiting for confirmation.
This would be the first time he waled past his desk to go to work. He had been briefed on what to expect. Not all tasks would be heroic, he had already done the Dispatching, he knew the drill just as good as anyone else.
"It's just one keyboard for an other..."
He tells himself, feels odd showing up in uniform just to get suited up again now that he was here but, there was no way he could fit the new Mech in his apartment.

"Sneeple (Snake people) Under the City is a Great title" The Cat beamed fixing their hat and looking for a towel. When they didn't find one they start smugging it around with their coat tails.
"If it makes you feel better the coffee is mostly Maple Syrup!" Detective Chase puts the coat tail in there own mouth trying to consume the last of their odd coffee.
