Of course he’d bring it up again.
Predator frowned, shooting the lynx a glare as he took note of his expression. Admittingly, he wanted to inquire as to what exactly his teammate meant when he mentioned a different version of Finitevus, but he had already attempted to avoid the topic of his own doings once and didn’t want to give Lighting more fuel for prodding.
Feathers puffing up once more — this time out of actual agitation — Predator gave the lynx his answer.
"I have done nothing worthy of mention."
Well, that was a blow to his pride. It wasn’t as though Predator hadn’t tried to work alone, nor was he particularly bad at it…but the occasional small jobs — usually consisting of targets who were either too slow, too weak, or too dumb to actually present the hawk with a challenge — were hardly noteworthy. He’d set out to find formidable prey and so far had been failing miserably.
Lightning's grin grew a bit wider as he was glared at. Annoying Predator was fun to do every once in a while, as long as it was light. His reactions to the teasing at least lighting up Lighting's mood a little.
"'Nothing worthy of mention,' eh? If you say so." Lightning replied, though his tone suggested that he knew that Predator didn't want to talk about whatever had happened. He closed his eyes for a moment. "So. Anythin' you can think of for us to do other than talk, or would you prefer to just relax?"
