And how these characters are also versions of Sora.

But why does nobody talk about how this is Sora?

Yeah. It's a beautiful end to an episode. I love it.

And not only did it foreshadow that Pomni would TRY to catch Jax falling.

Emphasis on try, she doesn't actually catch Jax because Jax still dies, which I think is a nice touch.

But it also foreshadowed that Pomni would get rescued in this moment by these four specific characters.

This is why something as simple as facial expressions is so important. Especially for a show don't tell narrative device to characterize somebody.

Something as simple as this can add so many more complex layers to a character and get you to read their emotional state without them saying anything.

Because sometimes in the case of Jax, it makes no sense for them to outright say "I am emotionally devastated by the death of my friends mostly because their deaths were my fault, but I don't want to go to a funeral because I feel way too guilty and I'm trying to force myself to move on"

"TADC doesn't do show don't tell" MY ASS.

HERE'S ANOTHER EXAMPLE FOR YA.

Both Jax, and Riya Sharma from Disventure Camp, both technically female characters, are some really bad cases I've seen of so many people completely dismissing the show don't tell aspects of their characters, just to make a point that "Oh they're one dimensional" "They're just cruel for no reason" "There is nothing meaningful going on in their heads at all" "Oh we never explore their so called guilt" Even though you can SEE IT.

And yet Yul can have a pity party on some sidewalk and people feel bad for him. Even though he's a million times more shallow.

I remember the light that appeared in my eyes when Ragatha said they were going to give Kaufmo a funeral.

I don't know if anybody really expected the canon show to address Kaufmo's death like this and that people cared about him.

From the fanfics I read back then before Episode 2 came out, I can't give any names cause I don't remember, almost all of them were either not addressing it or they addressed it in a way of "Oh, everyone has just kinda been forced to just move on. Like nothing happened. Wow this place really is that cruel that people have become numb to other peoples deaths in here". Which I think they did to, you know, add to idea that the circus is a horror world.

And if canon go that direction, I don't think anyone would've been mad about it, because that does work. And most media I feel often do gloss over how the deaths of characters we never met effect the others.

But... no. The canon TADC decided to address the death and show how the death impacted the other characters.

And that is one of THE defining moments of this show, to me, that really set up that the canon show was going to be about connection.

Because yeah. Pomni's proven wrong here. People DO care when one of their own died. They DO miss them. They are all heavily impacted by each other. And most importantly, the cruelty of the world was not going to stop them from caring so much.

NOBODY would've blamed Pomni for turning into a villain. Just saying.

If some alternate timeline, if after this, Pomni decided she wanted to completely fuck up the circus and drag everyone else, especially Caine, down with it, I would be backing her up.

Especially considering according to Gooseworx, she was originally supposed to be a lot more hot headed.... yeah.

"I know you guys love your NPCs, but if I start losing track of who's a human and who's an NPC, who knows what... could happen...?"

Was this meant to foreshadow that they're both made out of code? I'm guessing?

Or meant to foreshadow that Caine accidentally killed Scratch?

Because technically, when the episode came out, people were theorizing that this line meant one of two things. One, one of the humans is secretly an NPC in disguise (Mostly Jax, because she was just showing off too many negative traits to be 'human' am I right). Or, Caine accidentally murdered a human.

...yeah I'm crazy to want to end a chapter with Gummigoo dying.

But, come on, that's a good cliffhanger for a chapter.

You may look at the time gap between Chapters 7 & 8 and think 8 is gonna be a long chapter. It's not really going to be as long as you'd think it is for a Pomni POV. She's down the map, she talks with Gummigoo, they out, they go home, Gummigoo dies.

She's not there for the fudge scene. So that's just flat out cut. Which cuts down over two minutes of episodes already.

And tragically, so is Gummigoo's initial discovery of the models before Pomni shows up. Which that is a bigger loss because of how good that is.

Ah yes, committing genocide on an entire kingdom just for the lols.
