❛ i think you’d make the worst farmer i’ve ever seen. ❜ the mental image of arthur out in a field attempting to tend to crops is TOO COMICAL for merlin not to grin to himself about it as he continues to keep busy tending to the horses. THIS IS A JOKE. or something of that nature , at the very least ———— only there’s no response from arthur to confirm that which makes merlin , smile beginning to fade with the image in his mind as it’s replaced with the the arthur in reality , pause himself & look to the king.

of course he was making jokes , it was . . . comical to say the least. he didn’t know how to be a “normal” person , let alone a farmer. but everyone has to start out somewhere. his gaze never falters off of merlin as he tends to the horses. there was something so mundane , so SIMPLISTIC that it confirms how steadfast he is on this decision. it’s only when merlin turns to look at him that arthur’s gaze drops to the grass. his lip is caught between his teeth , something to describe how he feels right now. he did want to go back , to seek the fame & praise of his people , to see guinevere once more , but the longer he thought about that the longer he despised it. he wanted QUIET , to find a small place & be alone , something he hasn’t had in a long , long time. besides , everyone already thinks he’s dead , why not let them go on with their lives thinking that ? who would it really hurt ?

Ella had been tucked in the back of the shop for the better part of three hours. She’d had two customers come into the shop, but that was fine with her because it was Truck Day. With opening duties came other tasks on this specific day. She was in the middle of prepping tomatoes when Arthur waltzed into the back. “ Morning!” she called back without looking up from her task ( didn’t want to lose a finger ). There was a slight smirk on her face as she had already collapsed most of the boxes; there was a very slim possibility that Arthur would get to make his box armour today. Though, knowing him, he’d still figure out a way.

he stopped DEAD in his tracks when he saw most of the boxes already collapsed. he turned his gaze over to ella & his back stiffened. ❛ why do you hate me ? ❜ his voiced cracked & he faked a sniffle. he walked over to the pile & sunk down on his knees. if ANYONE knew arthur , he was had a backup plan to his backup plans. in this case , he knew that he would be able to make his armor with no problem at all ------ the problem was that he had planned a duel with gwaine ( a worker next door at the froyo shop ) later on & he would have BETTER armor than arthur. ❛ ------ seriously , ella. you truly are an evil one. i think i’ll have to fire you. ❜

Who they like better: arthur. as much as he loves sansa he enjoys learning sword arts and going riding with his father –he wants to grow and be as strong and kind as his father is. Who they take after more: arthur. though his looks are quite similar to sansa, he can be quite stubborn –but is often seen sharing with children of lower birth. Personal Head canon: even though rickon is now tall for his age, he was born prematurely. this meant arthur and sansa had to spend far more time with him than anticipated. he stopped breathing once during infancy but was revived –it is unknown how (though lbr it was probably merlin who saved him).
