Yunnan - Day 7
Coach ride 4.5 hours from Dali to Kunming. First stop was a special hotpot lunch. Then a visit to the Daguanlou Park, the Golden Horse and Jade Rooster archway and Nanping pedestrian street. Another hotpot of wild mushrooms for dinner.
Yunnan - Day 6
Scenic bus ride to Shangrila (3,400 metres ajhove sea level) to visit the Songzanlin monastery. Had an early lunch and proceeded to Xizhou ancient town to visit the Bai folk houses and taste the authentic 'Xizhou Baba" snack which is a pancake sandwiched with rose sugar filling. Also experienced the Bai minority 3 course tea and dance. That night stayed at the Hawthorn by Wyndham Hotel.

Yunnan - Day 5
Stared the day with a visit to the Tiger leaping Gorge., China's deepest canyon. Along the way visited a horse ranch, Napahai. Next was the Harmonious Pagoda (Buddhist White Pagoda) Followed by the Guishan Park, Dukezong Ancient City and huge Prayer Wheel. Stayed at the Lan Ou Hotel, one of the best hotels in Shangrila.
Yunnan - Day 4
Started the day with a visit to the Jade Water Village where ancient writings of the Yi Tribe started. Then to the Blue Moon Valley where the water has a greenish hue and runs down as the Bai Shui River cascading into a few rapids. Next we ascended 4,506 metres to the famous Yulong Snow Mountain that is perpetually covered in snow at the top resembling a snowy dragon from an arial view. It was cold at less than 10 degrees. Stayed at the JP Hyllis Hotel in Lijiang for 2 nights.
