I tried a different style for this Valentine’s. I recorded my drawing process ‘cause why not, so here it is:

Everyone’s been drawing Brazil, so I did it as well.

This is an attempt at recreating the painting “My God, Help Me To Survive This Deadly Love” with RusPrus.

Some history:

The graffiti painting “My God, Help Me To Survive This Deadly Love” is located on the Berlin Wall, facing east.

So here’s Ukraine dressed as a Ukrainian Sich Rifleman to represent the song “Ой, у лузі червона калина”.

Quick explanation:

The Sich Riflemen were born as a Ukrainian unit of the Austro-Hungarian military. They then became the first stable army of the Ukrainian People’s Republic from 1917 to 1919.

The song “Ой, у лузі червона калина” was first composed in 1875 and then rewritten in 1914 in honor of the Sich Riflemen. It is, to this day, used as a patriotic song.

(The first as Burgundian Netherlands, with the rule of the house of Valois-Burgundy starting in 1384. The second as the Dutch Republic, established in 1581)

Belgium: 641 y.o. or 194 y.o.

(Once again, the first is the Burgundian Netherlands. The second is as the Kingdom of Belgium, established in 1831)

Luxembourg: 672 y.o. or 210 y.o.

(The first as the Duchy of Luxembourg, promoted to duchy in 1353. The second as the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, independent since 1815)

Also, I apologize for giving two different options for so many characters, but Hima didn’t give me much to work with.

I wanted to try something new, so I went for this new style.

I don’t know if I like it, though. Guess I’ll experiment a bit these days.

There is potential for the most fucked up stuff, literally.

I made two different versions of this one ‘cause I couldn’t decide whether I liked the visual effect of the crisscross.
