Artist Without A Cause

My group had such an amazing connection. I don't know if we would have been able to accomplish what we did with our such an amazing group. they all did put in so much work. There is no way I would have been ok with working a 2 am and meeting at 10 pm if I didn't like them

After nights of getting two hours of sleep. Nobody got to play the game. IM DEVASTATED

Ashely did soooo on the drawings ! Our test run went really well. In terms doing it online, its rough. no denying. But I still think its pretty good

Possible problem with the software for the game??? Honestly I'm ready to pay money. They have me at their mercy. On another note, my section is too narrow. Next time we need to consider how much we can actually flesh out from each topic. Sports is pretty difficult to expand and the questions become repetitive

A potential card. It’s definitely what we’re going for. Perhaps we’ll wanna add more irony? Sparkly pepper spray? stuff like that? I want to make people shift in their seat.

Tired, stressed and behind in my classes. I’m glad I feel like a real designer, adapting my designs as problems arise. BUT I AM SLEEP DEPRIVED. THIS THING AND A MILLION OTHERS ARE DUE DEC 1. tell me why I stressed for 12+3 years in school to get into uni just to be in more stress????

I found the demo to be rocky. We should definitely work on more questions. Theo made a great point about I being too many of us. Splitting it up it about 2s should make it less easier to host. There’s definitely lots to work on me thinks. 

It occurred to me that diversity among contestants is key. Women’s safety cannot be discussed without discussing the intersectionality of womanhood. Maybe then our questions should be highlight that intersectionality. I’ll maybe mention that in the next meeting. It definitely helps that our group has people from various social locations and personal experiences with being socialized as women. Maybe my whole spiel on Wattpad and TikTok can help with the game show. Are we letting the dominant discourse of white cishet women influence to the point of overpowering the game show?

This came to me early one morning. I remember reading Wattpad, like every sheltered 13 year old girl at that time. It was it’s own community, with it's own culture, inside jokes and even tradition. I got busier and grew out of it after some time. Last year when I got TikTok, I found it funny that that subculture existed on TikTok as well. There were girls like me who used to read Wattpad, they had the same humour and made fun of the stupid tropes of that were popular in the books. I recently went back on wattpad, just for kicks. I realized that TikTok culture had come to influence Wattpad. People were making TikTok jokes, and taking from the wattpad subculture of TikTok on the Wattpad platform. However, I wasn’t a subculture. It affected the culture as a whole.  SOO......stemming from this I started to wonder about the development of culture. How cultures feed off of each other. How a weaker culture makes an impact with subcultures and how more dominant ones shift whole cultures

A very impactful reading. Even though the author focused mostly on racial oppression, I couldn't help but thinking of the sexualization of the google search. “school girls” vs that of “school boys”. Those creating theese algorithms have their own biases. The problem fundamentally is not with the concept of these algorithms. It’s flawed. Does this wicked problem have a solution? 

I love people in general. But writing with others makes my head hurt. I literally get anxiety when I have to write in collaboration. Everyone has really good ideas though. And I’m really excited about our topic. I’m trying my best not to let bossy Laurel take over 🥴
