“Why are you being like this?” He asks. “Like what? Not so damn agreeable?”
I’d bent myself and my morals so far backwards just to have any piece of him, I finally realised how close I was to snapping. How had I let it go so far? How had I let him think that all I could ever say to him was yes? I’d lost the essence of myself amongst his bedsheets and left it there as I drove away the next morning. I think I’m finally realising that what I did to fleetingly have that piece of him, wasn’t worth losing my entire mind for.
