"Should I congratulate you on your wedding? Or was it a funeral?" A devilish sneer appears on his features. His eyes darkened, watching her unwaveringly, "...is this another facade you have to put on every day, Lae? Aren't you tired?" Lucifer laughed, mocking her right now.

A slight smirk tugged upon her upper lip; she pressed her lips, and Laentina sighed heavily, "Thank you, Luci. I know you finally came to your senses." She mocked him back. "I hope you bear me a gift."

"Do you think your father would let you be happy? Hmm, my darling, Laentina. Do you really think that he would let you go that easily this time?" Lucifer, hovering over her, noticed a slight change in her expression.

"Do I even fuckin' care?" Her voice is shaky but stern.

"Now, tell me. Where is Cyrus?" His fiery hues fixated on hers. Unyielding.

"I've told you, I have no idea where is his whereabouts." She swallowed hard. "A bird told me that you wanted to use my son for your gain, Lucifer. MY SON." She still tries to stay calm even though she knows no one can defy him, not even a word.

"Your son? He is the key for us to something more powerful even the people up there will do everything in their power to get him. Stop clinging to that title of his. Your son!!" He burst out laughing.

"If you dare to touch him---"

"Ehm." a voice she recognised. She turned around and it was Danylo. "Going somewhere?" he asked, his eyes darting at hers.

She laughed nervously, "I have a plan with my bestie in a couple of hours and I am just about to get ready." She took a deep breath as he sauntered towards her slowly. She has no idea why he gave her so many mixed emotions. Danylo stepped closer and closer until they were facing each other.

He grabbed her chin, brushed his thumb over her lower lip, and grinned viciously, "I can feel you are in a hurry. Mind telling me what's going on?" Their eyes locked.

She cannot breathe, her heart just stopped beating. This man will be the death of her, and she took a giant breath before answering him, "It's... it is my family gathering and my brothers planned for...." She couldn't finish her words when Danylo brushes his lips against hers. She returned his kiss gently, "I can't do this now, Dany." Resisting him is not in her power, but she needs to.

𝙎𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙠𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨.

He wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her closer, then placed a hand at the back of her neck before kissing her firmly. "My patience is wearing thin," he murmured before pulling away.

What do you want from me, Dany?" She looked at him, offering the challenge with a quizzical tone to her voice, before turning around to continue packing her bag.

"You want to hear what I want from you? Do you really think I would fall in love with you just because we had one night? Come on Lae. You can't be that naive." he growled appreciatively. But it does not stop me from doing this…" as he stepped close behind her, his fingers disappearing underneath her skirt, probing her core, gently caressing until she fell back against him, helpless to prevent the heat that ignited immediately at his touch.

"Dany…" she groaned. "We were…"
