you know. I've been thinking and I realised that even through everything that happened, Nie Huaisang never used Lan Xichen for his revenge until the very last moment.

sure, he probably suspected that Lan Xichen might have been an accomplice or simply that he would have taken Jin Guangyao's side but if he'd really wanted to manipulate the man into betraying his sworn brother to rip the last ally away from JGY... he probably could have acted differently.

I guess what I'm saying is that NHS probably wasn't trying to make LXC culpable for JGY's demise, not until the last moment in the temple where options were dwindling and JGY was still somehow alive.

#thissssss #to me it looked like a last minute decision made out of strong emotion #i think he planned for nmj to do it? he wasn't planning on his corpse being stopped before it could kill jgy #anyway yes!! i think he lashed out when the opportunity arose #he was hurt and tired and so close to finishing everything and lxc was still!! compassionate!! to this brother-murderer!!!#nhs #i agree that things would have looked very differently if hed intended for lxc to be involved from the start #in fact lxc seems to been left out of most of his plans for whatever reason #(also i think there's a lot of room for nhs to regret tricking lxc like that)#(because i think he wouldn't realize/care about the consequences until he'd had a chance to calm down...)#(...and then its up to interpretation how he would feel about it at that point. xisang brain says he'd regret breaking lxc like that.)
