KPDH Celine's and PHM Stratt's thirsty as fuck fan

The Leader

Can be Celine, or Potentially the boardmember, I'll discuss both.

Celine has the experience in being a mentor, and this is just figuring out this new powerset, but training is training and working as a team requires coordination. She's done that TWICE so this would be a cakewalk for her.

Alternatively if it's the boardmember, it fits with the story idea with her as well. It shows her doubling down on being a workaholic (something Celine could relate to), where she took charge of her life after losing her money, husband, kids. In that parallel, Celine could connect with her about how she had done that before and while it feels productive (Celine can't complain, she's rich and a CEO), a life like that is not fulfilling if it is not filled with people. You can be leading the team and saving the world but if it's not FOR anyone then, is there a point?

The Lancer

The lancer is the 2nd in command of the team, or as the video puts it, "The lancer will do what the leader won't". They're a foil for the leader, often going off on solo missions (Shiro/Keith in Voltron, Superman/Batman in Justice League, there's others).

Out of the character ideas given I might slot the Stylist into this role because as someone who works with talent day in day out she is used to people who fuss over their hair and outfits saying that it's not right or could be better. She would have the sass and confidence to fight with the leader, while not necessarily undermining them. She might get fed up with the team planning to rush off on her own. Because she now has the power set to save people like her husband, who was lost on the train. The perfect plan means NOTHING if you don't act fast enough.

The Big Guy

I had seen someone (I forget who) say that Thirdlight Concept had her weapon as a giant axe, and while I'd love for that to be why she's the big guy, I think where the Magical Girls TM are getting magic from, not the Honmoon, all of the weapons should be different. Thirdlight doesn't get an axe and Celine won't get twin swords.

But I still think that Thirdlight is a good fit for The Big Guy, someone like Toph or Sailor Jupiter, Hulk/Thor, or, while not a five man band, Yor Forger from SpyxFamily. Someone that you could leave in a room with a bunch of minions and they would have the easiest time fighting them off. She like Celine has training from fighting demons, but there is a notable difference in where the magic comes from. With the Honmoon the power is from the FANS, and any Magical Girl story has the power come from an outside source, but literally fueled by the power of their friendship and bonds with eachother.

This means that a possibly resentful or bitter Thirdlight, who does genuinely want to make amends with Celine but is still mulling over the past CANNOT unlock her full power (power up arcs, we all know them, she's the last to get it because she needs to accept that she was wrong to abandon Celine and that Rumi has demon blood but is not a demon). It is rife with potential to have the big guy character breakdown on screen because this fight is not a fight that can be won physically. This is a terrain Thirdlight never fought on, emotionally and with her friends, instead of physically against a bad guy.

As another thing, when we get to the corruption story arc, Thirdlight is having flashbacks to Mi-Yeong. Celine fell in love with the enemy, with the BIG BAD, and is evil now. To her it's the cycle repeating but this time she stays. She fights and she stays like she should have done 24 years ago.

The Smart Guy

I want to add onto the Assistant idea, who had the abusive exboyfriend, mostly because I sent in an idea and then read this wonderful gem with all the people accounted for.

If I may indulge myself, the Assistant was someone who had a scholarship to university, and a boyfriend. A boyfriend who made her drop out and slowly took control over more and more of her life. By the time she gets out, she's in her 30s, and does not have the money to go back to university, while also believing it is too late for her.

Being an assistant to someone fairly high up in the company means she not only knows a lot about the company and it's workings, but the city as well, where she scheduled his meetings or dinners, etc etc. In this job she is still fully able to use her knowledge and intelligence but she doesn't see it that way.

Similar to the Boardmember, the Assistant would need to go through a character arc to learn that she is more than just her skills. Also that she doesn't need a romantic partner, or anything like that to have a fufilling life. Maybe she got into the relationship because she wanted a kid, well there's adoption. Her learning about herself is to be proud of how she is still using her skills in her career even if it isn't a technical or science field. But also that she is more than her skills. A whole confidence booster, essentially, that most introverted self-deprecating nerds need (self-call out tbh)

The Heart

The heart is a emotional core of the group. Lance or Allura from Voltron, Starfire from Teen Titans from the early 2000s, Wally West from the Justice League.

I am suggesting Celine, the Emotional Dam that she is. But the commonality she has with other Hearts is that, aside from a unique power/skill set (double mentor fighting experience CEO experience plus whatever powers the Magical Creature TM gives her.), the Heart will always have a positive relationship with every team member. Every team member likes the Heart. When the group is fighting it's the Heart who brings them back to common ground and remind them who they're fighting for.

Also, when the heart is kidnapped (a common enough trope), the Team will go on a full frontal assault to rescue them. While having the team rescue the Leader is a common enough trope, rescuing the Heart is even more common. And where it's already planned that the Big Bad Evil MILF will corrupt Celine, and she will be save by the power of friendship and all the heroes reminding them of how Celine helped her, I am making the case that this Emotionally stunted CEO should be the emotional core the group, helping everyone else process their emotions and ignoring her own.

This can actually double down when she becomes evil, because on top of the guilt around how she treated Rumi, and felt abandoned by her team before, the SLS, and now with this Magical Girl threat she got abandoned again. Just long enough to be kidnapped and taken to the Evil Moon Base, and corrupted to be Evil. Celine's inner demons coming out is how she always felt abandoned and alone and no one prioritized her or her mental state and now this HOTTIE and her two young underlings are prioritizing and caring for her. SO why should she go back?

Queue the rest of the team pointing out how much she did and helped them, not expecting anything in return, but because she wanted to help and wanted to do good. How many people are employed by her, the Idols who praise their company for the mental health resources. And that's good not because it gives her more profit but because she wanted better standards for idols than what she had.

They agree that they didn't put Celine first (a common thing with Hearts) but she always put them first. And if she wanted to come back, then they will prioritize her more.

Any “well, if you’re really with them now, prove it: hurt me” type behaviors fall under this, but it can be a bit more wide-ranging—an example: Warren becoming the Horseman of Death, in X-Factor (vol 1). After being kidnapped and torture-brainwashed to eeeee-vil, Warren gets knocked out of his Horseman brainwashing when, mid-battle, his teammate Bobby makes a duplicate of himself and he destroys it, leaving him to think he just killed him.

Generally, of course, it’s the Heart who continues to believe in their friend as they struggle with this dark path to the point of putting themself in such a situation, even while the rest of the group have decided they’re actually past the point of redemption—which we don’t want for this au, as the group are just establishing their bonds, most of them just becoming magical girls, when the Evil MILF starts this plot

However, I’m still not sure about Celine falling into that role—as you point out, she’s an emotional dam, character development post-movie or not. For Celine, the power of emotional bonds is something she almost exclusively views as one-sided: people are fans of her if she’s good enough, and then they don’t die. The implicit fact that she cares about them to protect them is extremely implicit, imo.

(Pause. Celine thinking that she isn’t needed anymore, there are other people now with these same powers, and they’re far better at it and far more appreciated by the public… She is, again, still standing long past her time. But the space people seem to want her. Yeah.)

She might be reminding her team of what they’re fighting for, but it’s a rousing (or possibly quite grim) speech about duty to me, not a process of defusing conflict

What I’d argue here would be even more fun is having Third be filling the role of the Heart—the one everyone trusts, their sweetheart, the teammate who always has a smile and a shoulder to lean on, though never really opening up to them herself (Hunter repression is universal, after all)… until she does. Just once. And Celine realizes who she is.

And it just about tears her apart to realize that she’s been trusting the person who betrayed her most deeply.
