Etude House CC Cream Review
Alright, third review from Haul #1Â right here! Letâs get pumped!
So when I first started getting into Korean cosmetics the Etude House CC (Correct & Care) Cream is one of the very first products I ever heard about. In fact Iâm sure anyone with a passing interest has heard of this product and this was probably the main reason why I ordered it. I just wanted to finally own something that early on in my mind became tied up with a style that I had admired so much and I believed was out of my reach. I had ridiculously high standards for this product, which ended up leading to some initial heartbreak as youâll see.
It comes in two shades #1 âSilkyâ and #2 âGlowâ, silky being the matte version, glow the radiant. Now I ended up getting silky even though I had my heart set on glow due to a minor reality check. So Iâve always really admired âradiantâ style makeup and Iâve watched like a million youtube tutorials/âGet it Beautyâ segments on how to achieve the perfect Korean beauty âMoistfull face glowâ. You know that kind of glossy, fresh, practically luminous style of face makeup. And so I was determined to get the CC cream in glow. However, upon some reflection I had to face the fact that my skin type would not be suitable for glow.
I have a oily t-zone, especially in the summer and anything with the purpose of âluminizingâ skin is probably going to make it worse. So I had to suck it up and get what I needed not what I wanted. Am I a grown up now?    Â
So here is the nozzle. As you can see it has a pump which is much appreciated. Itâs so much more convenient than squeeze type tubes for getting the right amount of product and thatâs great so I donât feel like Iâve wasted any because you donât get so much. I mean its not a tiny tube by any means, but it could stand to be a bit bigger considering youâre supposed to rub it all over your face everyday. Â Â
Hereâs the product. It comes out pure white with tiny, tiny specks of black particles. Kind of like cream with flecks of vanilla pod.Â
The colour change into something you might actually want to have on your skin happens when you begin to rub the product for blending/absorption. (Iâve only rubbed it a little here to try and show the change occurring).
Now the consistency is a bit like sunblock. Especially compared to my previous GOSH CC cream which is much thinner, so when I first tried it out I was kind of dismayed thinking I had bought a bad product. And considering the strange white cast it gives when initially applying it, before blending I was quite down to think something I had converted so much might be no good. Â Â Â Â
However it got better! So here it is freshly blended and itâs much nicer but still only okay.
But within 5-10 minutes it really begins to set well and becomes very smooth and matte. It honestly does feel 'Silkyâ and quite lovely to touch. Skin doesnât feel dry in any way, just soft and very perfectly smooth. I couldnât be more impressed with the finish and it only gets better the longer you wear it.Â
Itâs a very lightweight feel, not noticeable at all. Like all CC Creams itâs not really meant for coverage but it actually doesnât do so bad on that front. Not nearly the same as youâd get in a BB Cream or fully-fledged foundation but much better than other CC Creams Iâve tried.
As a CC Cream the focus is more on the skincare benefits than coverage and only time will tell on that front. Itâs become my everyday CC Cream and Iâll most likely repurchase when this has run out. Also, at only ÂŁ7.62 Iâll probably also get 'Glowâ for the winter when my skin starts to get a little dry.  Â
Itâs become one of my favourite items of this haul tied with a product I have yet to review. Please look out for it and my future reviews both for this haul and my upcoming haul which should be arriving very soon!
