(12.56 x 9.80 in.) British Museum, London, United Kingdom Margaretha Barbara Dietzsch was a bird, flower and fruit painter and etcher. Baptised Nuremberg 1726, died Nuremberg 1795. Youngest daughter of the painter and engraver Johann Israel (1681-1754). Student of her sister Barbara Regina (1706-1783), whose drawings are very similar; four brothers were also active in the field of flower and other natural history drawing.
