A POINT WAS ALL YOU MISSED
thats it, a point off 90. but with all the screaming and yelling your mom is doing, its like you failed her.
you don’t get it, you clean and cook (you had literally just made the dinner she ate and washed the dishes), you listen to her worries and give advice, you never talk back or go against her. but still, all you get in return for your hard work is a nod or maybe a shout.
until she stops, to sends you back into your room so she can smoke some more.
dad would never do this to you, you think. but you know he would, the only reason he wouldn’t is because he’s too busy with work to support your family.
sighing, you walk back into your room, and close the door and decide to study for a few more minutes, just to ensure this won’t happen again right?
soon, minutes turned to hours as you read each page of the chapter annotating as you go.
you glance at the clock, it’s 11:08.
you contemplate going to the nearby 7/11 for an hour or two, to refresh yourself. it’s not like your mom would be awake anyways.
so, you grab your jacket, and your wallet carefully opening your window and jumping out to the dirt right outside. luckily your room was downstairs and your moms was upstairs.
closing the window carefully, you grab your phone to text sieun to cover for you if your mom ever asked. your mom loves sieun, more then her own daughter, you could easily tell.
you know the route to 7/11 like the back of your hand even so, you try not to go on your phone, to be aware of your surroundings. that leaves you and your thoughts. thinking about the incident earlier makes you start to tear up, you hated being yelled at.
but instead of keeping it in like you do at home, you let it all out here, on the sidewalk of a random road you forgot the name of. there were more tears then you thought, they just kept coming down never stopping. maybe it was a good thing y’know, cryings good for your mental health apparently.
soon you arrive, you quickly wipe your tears pushing open the door hearing the bells chiming.
you grab your favorite snack, a cup full of ice, and a packet of juice. you pay, and go to sit down.
you stop abruptly when you see someone sitting at the table, you contemplate on what to do for a second. but honestly it was your only option, you would not like to sit on the floor or go back home. soon your voice comes out of the blue.
he looks up from his ramen, his hand runs through his hair and-
he was definitely intimidating, almost as much as he was attractive.
you smile, setting down your things and taking the seat. you open the cup of ice and juice, pouring it into the cup.
“so what brings you here? at 11:30pm?” he asks, moving his snacks closer to him.
“oh i just needed a break,” you chuckle.
you freeze, you weren’t expecting to tell a complete stranger your life story, let alone at almost midnight.
“oh sorry i shouldn’t have asked that,” he frowns.
“oh it’s okay! i’ll tell you, it’s not like we’ll see each other ever again probably.”
you honestly thought you were going crazy, one for telling a complete stranger your life story, and two talking to a handsome stranger without stuttering.
“okay i’ll listen then,” he smiles, and you smile back.
soon you learned more about eachother, his name was park jongseong, he often went by jay and you both went to hybe university. you has successfully gotten his number and twitter!
the more you talked, the later it got (obviously). soon it was nearing 2am
“i hate to break it off early but i have a class tomorrow,” you pout, he smiles replying,
“it’s okay, i have to get home soon anyways. text me when you’re home safe okay?”
your face turns a light pink, “okay i will,”
you wave goodbye and set off to your house, you were definitely going to see each other again.
sypnosis : after having to deal with her toxic parents, y/n goes to the place she loves most, not knowing someone else has sat in the only table inside the gas station.
