On anon because people are annoying but the big issue is that a lot of pedophilia defenders don't even believe in the principles they preach. They could advocate restorative justice, but that requires nuance and also a victim-first mentality they aren't very interested in. They just want the punishment for offending gone, instead of wanting it replaced with something that actually brings comfort and restabilizes the situation for all affected, because they don't believe a violation has been committed in the first place. Real restorative justice has to prioritize healing all parties and they can't hang with them because they don't see the victim as a victim.
