1. Comparing cis men who were at the forefront of American transphobia in the last decade and a bit, to trans men and transmascs talking about transphobia they faced is a shitty take

2. Not listening to trans guys talking about their oppression is anti-intellectual in itself. You refuse to learn and broaden your understanding of oppression.

3. Rich talking about how trans guys "disregard" the same studies that they talk about, when you won't even read any studies on their oppression yourself.

4. You really wanna go there. Talking about mansplaining? You sure about that when your crowd talks about how you know more about transmasculine lives and experiences without being transmasc yourself and clearly you know nothing compared to trans men and transmascs who know more than you'll ever know in your entire life about their oppression? You sure about that? You wanna go there?

5. Trans men and transmascs get V-Coded all the fucking time. Ask me how I'd know. Come on. I'd be more than happy to tell you about transmasc inmates I've talked to who have been raped a LOT in prison.

Trans women are NOT your enemy

Transmascs are NOT your enemy

Transfems are NOT your enemy

Non-binary people are NOT your enemy

Intersex people are NOT your enemy

People who use xenogenders are NOT your enemy

People who use neopronouns are NOT your enemy

People who use microlabels are NOT your enemy

Gender-non-conforming people are NOT your enemy

And if you think that a specific group of trans people or gnc people or any"the enemy", you're just wrong. No group of trans people is the reason for the hate cast towards us, and saying so is transphobic.

This is a really good example of how TERFs disguise their attacks against trans men, and why it’s so harmful to consider TERF attitudes towards trans mascs as infantilizing.

The post is made to appear sympathetic to the man they are mocking. “Look at this poor ‘girl’ and how he’s mutilated himself” sounds sympathetic, especially to trans people who are subjected to aggressive, direct attacks on their identities and humanity.

But this performative sympathy is just a front so that TERFs can enjoy being cruel without appearing as the aggressor. This allows the audience to still enjoy the pleasure of engaging in cruelty while dressing it up as pity.

This plays into the broader tactic TERFs deploy with trans mascs.

Rarely ever do they confront us directly the way they do with trans women.

In fact, because they see us as women, their primary objective is to make sure we are never ever heard at all, so that they can maintain the narrative that none of us would ever transition of our own free will.

Instead, they poison the well. They talk to our “handlers”. Our parents, our doctors and psychiatrists, our husbands, boyfriends, our pastors.

The veneer of sympathy is not to appeal to trans men. It is to appeal to those they see as having ownership over us. When trans men fight back against this, the malice comes out in full force.

"trans woman" doesn't mean "you're trans and a woman" it means you transitioned to a woman

I get that labels are arbitrary, but you are stealing a term we use to describe ourselves without facing any degree of the consequences. Do you know what it's like to be pedojacketed? To be cut off and excluded from every community, even by other queer people?

I'm sorry if you are actually one of us, and if this ask is friendly fire please ignore it. I'm just genuinely too fed up with perisex cis people to risk it.

If you are a perisex cis woman, please stop calling yourself a trans woman. It is the dictionary definition of cultural appropriation.

Comparing a universal queer label to cultural appropriation is some of the whitest shit i've ever heard and sounds exactly like when TERFs say trans women "appropriate womanhood"
