I hope that if Peter tries to kill Scott to become an alpha again, he succeeds, but then Scott turns out to be such a true alpha that he doesn't die and becomes something better than an alpha.

I think that River Song could still be alive because in Forest Of The Dead, when she died, it was technically after all her adventures with The Doctor in the future, including when she killed him on a fixed point in time but then it is later revealed that he used the Teselecta robot to cheat death so I think that River did the same thing.
