As I was rewatching my favorite childhood film, The Fox and the Hound, younger me never noticed the close relationship between Copper and Chief. I always thought Chief didn't like Copper, as he felt replaced by Copper, but upon rewatching, that isn't the case at all. Chief and Copper are very close and while Chief is annoyed at Copper at times, he still loves him and sees him as a good hunter for his age. Younger me also didn't notice how Chief and Copper played while out on the winter hunting trip when Copper says that him and Chief used to scrap all the time and Chief grins to that comment. Old Disney had sauce that is so rare nowadays.
