“…”
The traffic sign held in his hand suddenly seems heavier; dark brown eyes flit over his surroundings, over the men who were on their feet just a few seconds ago now lying on the ground. They’d been irritating him, he couldn’t help it—
Yet, as the sun shines over him & a gust of wind brushes by his face, he feels disappointed in himself.
“…Fuck.”
Slowly placing the traffic sign onto the pavement, attempting to stick it back into the place he’d ripped it out from, Shizuo exhales, shutting his eyes for a few seconds.
Her breath hitched within her throat and her eyes grew wide; was she really seeing what she thought she was seeing? Surely not; no normal person could pull a traffic sign out of the ground, and swing it with such ease! But even after pinching herself for clari- fication and with a new sore spot on her arm, she realised that what she had seen was very much real.
She’d only been passing by when the loud shout of a male caught her attention, and she’d only ventured towards the sound of mere curiosity, but nothing would have prepared for what she had seen. Street fights were a common thing -- not that she witnessed them often, just heard about them -- but fighting a group of men with a traffic sign was definitely not a common thing. Any normal person would have turned tail and left, and yet Natsu found herself appro- aching the very male that had managed to do something that any- one would have thought impossible.
“ You--- “
She began, just blurting out the first thing that came to mind. Any sense of danger was non-existent, in fact the thought that this male could be dangerous and turn against her hadn’t even crossed her mind. She was curious and she wanted to find out more.
“ How did you do that? It----it was amazing! “
