D E A T H S W O R N

The longer story is... I have seasonal depression (extra spicy depression on top of the usual mental illnesses). It's not usually an issue where writing is concerned because writing is my retreat. When the world feels like it sucks, I can usually count on the fictional world to suck less and so I don't withdraw. hell, I started RPing in the winter last year!

And I don't know, something about this winter's been different. Maybe it's finally hitting the point with my ADHD where I knew treatment was becoming a life-or-death situation. Maybe it's stress from the half dozen things I have going on in my life including wedding planning. but my brain gave up. it threw down all my creative outlets and stamped it's little feet and decided until things change I just don't get to Make Stuff for a while. i feel like a cartoon with smoke coming out of my ears most of the time.

creative fallow periods happen, I'm a little upset about it but I recognise in the circle of life it'll come back to me. in the meantime, I have a few things I'm slowly chipping away at and planning:

ADHD getting diagnosed and hopefully treated? By the end of the month I hope to have the paperwork in hand and making my first medication titration appointment.

New blog! not ready to unveil it and move but it's Happening. it will have the same url (it's got a placeholder rn).

new ocs, including iachesis (fish out of water but the water is a terrible ideology), caelria (lawmaker in a struggle with her family's killer) and hrothmar (a lich fighting with many, many demons (survivor's guilt and bisexuality))

something else writing related, a lil secret project. okay. i lied. it's not little.
